Is it Still Called a Dodge RAM?

This tends to be a common question for those unfamiliar with RAM's complex history with the Dodge brand. Since its departure from the company back in 2009, the RAM has been branded as a stand-alone truck that's no longer referred to as the Dodge RAM, but simply RAM. Are RAM’s Safe?

RAM trucks are very safe when you compare them among other pickups on the road. The NHTSA gave the 2021 RAM 1500 a safety rating of 4 out of 5 stars, while Cars.US News gave them an 8.9 out of 10. RAMs are particularly praised for their front and side crash prevention. Each RAM also comes loaded with plenty of innovative safety features that act as your extra set of eyes and ears, helping prevent accidents before they happen.

Does the RAM Come in Diesel?

Absolutely! Available on select 2021 RAM trims, the 3.0L EcoDiesel V6 engine is giving us best-in-class torque as well as impressive fuel efficiency. The engine offers a diesel towing capacity of 12,560 lbs., 480 lb-ft of diesel torque, and 260 horsepower.

Do RAM Trucks Come with Air Suspension?

It sure does! Select RAMs now offer an optional Active-Level Four-Corner Air Suspension system, equipped with a unique coil-spring and multi-link rear suspension. This allows for increased control, maneuverability, and an all-around smooth ride through the North Battleford countryside.


What is the RAM’s Highest Towing Capacity?

The RAM's towing capabilities are among the most competitive in the industry. Varying by trim, the RAM 1500 can tow up to 11,650 lbs., the RAM 2500 up to 20,000 lbs., and the mighty RAM 3500 can tow up to a whopping 37,100 lbs. How powerful is that? Whether you’re towing a travel trailer or horses, RAM can handle it!

What is the RAM’s Highest Payload?

Again, varying by trim, the RAM 1500 has a maximum payload of 2320 lbs., and the RAM 2500 up to 4380 lbs. And the heavy-duty RAM 3500? A payload of up to 7680 lbs.

Are RAMs Good on Gas?

As far as full-sized trucks go, RAM is one of the most fuel-efficient trucks you can buy. The RAM 1500 EcoDiesel uses a mere 8.0/11.1L per 100 km (highway/city), rivalling some SUVs and even cars, while the turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 EcoDiesel uses an economical 7.3/10.5 L per 100 km (highway/city).

Does the RAM have Apple CarPlay/Android Auto?

Yes! If your vehicle has the Uconnect 5 system, Apple CarPlay support and Android Auto integration are included. Certain Uconnect 4 systems (those with a 7-inch, 8.4-inch, or 12-inch touchscreen) also include Apple CarPlay support or Android Auto integration. Older Uconnect systems (model 2016 and earlier) do not support Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

Does the RAM Have a Backup Camera?

They do! All new RAM vehicles are equipped with a standard backup camera, and select trims also include a 360° Surround View system that projects a bird’s eye view from your RAM truck.
